🗓️ 2023 In Review
2023 feels like the beginning of a new chapter in my life. Now it comes to an end, here is my review.
Early Retirement
I created a retirement plan for myself earlier this year. The goal is to accumulate 1 million Singapore dollars in 5 years and then pursue a different and flexible career that aligns with my interests.
This year, which is 2023, is the first year I'm actively working towards achieving this goal. To reach this target, I've read 21 financial books to better understand the stock market and rebuild my relationship with money.
As of now, my progress is at 28% by the end of the year.
Side Projects
This year, I have been trying to build various side projects, but unfortunately, I have not been able to launch many of them. Here, I have listed my main projects.
X In Progress
This is a Raycast Extension that helps track progress for important plans and supports progress tracking in the MacOS menu bar.
Money Mirror (WIP)
Money Mirror is a financial management tool with expense tracking, retirement plan tracking, and investment tracking features. Initially it's built for myself to manage my money. The product is set to launch in 2024, I'm excited about its release!
Waddle Wallet (WIP)
This is an iOS travel app that my friends and I created to solve the problem of budgeting and tracking expenses while travelling. We are actively developing it.

On the last day of 2023, I redesigned my personal website a bit :)
Life Updates
The biggest change I made this year is prioritizing my life over my work. I prefer "building my work around my life" rather than "building my life around my work", which I've done for many years.
The second thing I did this year was to start doing sports regularly. I tried many different kinds of sports such as badminton, swimming and going to the gym, but I finally settled on playing basketball. I hope to continue doing it in the coming year.
Yay! That's my 2023, and I'm excited to tackle the challenges of launching my products in 2024.
